PATIENT MENTORSHIP H.O.P.E. PROGRAM – HELP ONE PERSON’S EXPERIENCE

One-on-One Meetings

Family members and caregivers may find themselves struggling with a cancer diagnosis. CARTI’s Patient Mentorship H.O.P.E. Program will provide a safe place for family and community members to explore and process their feelings. Previous cancer patients will also be a part of this group to provide guidance and relation to current patients with a cancer diagnosis.

“STRONGER TOGETHER” BREAST CANCER & LYMPHEDEMA SUPPORT GROUP

Meets Monthly

Lymphedema is an ongoing condition due to fluid buildup in tissue instead of circulating throughout the body. CARTI’s Lymphedema Support Group offers patients an opportunity to talk with others who know precisely what they are going through. The support group provides an environment to share experiences and create relationships. This support group will also feature guest speakers and educational information.

LARYNGECTOMY SUPPORT GROUP

Meets Monthly

Laryngectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the Larynx often due to cancer. CARTI’s Laryngectomy Support Group provides information, education, and support from our Speech-Language Pathologist, Kyndall Finnell.

BREAST HEALTH SUPPORT GROUP

Meets Monthly

Having support through a breast cancer diagnosis is an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety that comes with this diagnosis. CARTI’s Breast Cancer Support group is a safe place for Breast Cancer survivors and current breast cancer patients to connect with others who have or currently are coping with breast cancer.

“INSIGHT WITH BRO. LARRY AND BRO. JIM” PASTORAL CARE SUPPORT GROUP

Meets Monthly

Chaplains are available at CARTI to provide spiritual and emotional support to our patients, family members and care givers. Insight with Bro. Larry & Bro. Jim is a space for patients to connect faith and spirit within their cancer journey.

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

Meets Monthly

Caregivers are an integral part of a cancer journey. The Caregiver Support Group is a community for past, present and future caregivers to share and support one another.
