CARTI Foundation Announces 2020 Tour de Rock To Be Held Virtually

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, The CARTI Foundation announced they will host the 17th Annual Tour de Rock virtually. The virtual ride will be held on Saturday, August 15, and participants can safely ride one of the Tour de Rock routes on their own, or they can choose a route of their choosing. Tour de Rock raises financial support for CARTI patient assistance programs and services, including transportation and lodging, emotional counseling, nutritional support and equipment upgrades prioritized by the medical team.

“As always, CARTI’s highest priority is the health and safety of our patients, caregivers, team members, volunteers and supporters,” said Jennifer Selig, CARTI Foundation interim executive director. “For this reason, our annual Tour de Rock bike ride will be held virtually. We hope this new format will allow riders to safely continue supporting our mission.”

Those currently registered to ride in Tour de Rock may:

  • Shift their registration to participate in the virtual event
  • Defer their registration to the 2021 Tour de Rock
  • Make their registration a tax deductible donation to CARTI
  • Request a full refund

Each registered cyclist will receive an official ride t-shirt and finisher’s medal in the mail. Cyclists who have not yet registered for the 2020 Tour de Rock can still sign up for the virtual ride at https://carti.ejoinme.org/tdr2020registration.
