CARTI to Expand Rural Communities’ Access to Clinical Research Opportunities
More than $1 Million in Rural Health Transformation Program Funding Will Support Clinical Research in El Dorado, Pine Bluff and Russellville
CARTI has received just over $1 million through Arkansas’ Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) to expand clinical research opportunities for cancer patients in rural communities.
The funding, awarded through the RHTP’s Recruitment Innovation Skills and Education for Arkansas (RISE AR) initiative, will support additional clinical research staff and related equipment at CARTI Cancer Centers in El Dorado, Pine Bluff and Russellville. This investment will help bring more clinical trial opportunities closer to patients and families in the communities we serve.

Through our network of cancer centers and clinics, CARTI works to make comprehensive cancer care and clinical research opportunities available closer to home. Expanding our clinical research infrastructure in El Dorado, Pine Bluff and Russellville will allow more patients to have better access to clinical trials without requiring them to travel to Little Rock for their care.
This work reflects CARTI’s broader commitment to strengthening cancer care in rural Arkansas by investing in the people, resources and research capabilities needed to serve patients in the communities where they live.
