New USPSTF Mammogram Guidelines
Mammography plays a vital role in reducing the rate of mortality from breast cancer. However, breast cancer remains a leading cause of cancer death among women. Early detection of breast cancer significantly increases a woman’s likelihood of survival from the disease. Recent guidelines from the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) lower the age for initial screening, but do they go far enough?
