Mark R. Storey, M.D.

Mark Storey has been in the NLR CARTI facility since 2001. He was born in Hot Springs, AR and graduated from Vanderbilt University with honors with a BE in Biomedical Engineering.  He returned to Arkansas for medical school and then performed his residency training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston from 1997-2001.  After completing his training he returned to his home state and has been in the NLR facility since graduation.

He has been President of the Radiation Oncology Associates PA since 2007 and has served on the CARTI Board on two occasions.  The NLR CARTI clinic has consistently performed in the top 1-3 percent nationally with respect to patient satisfaction based on third party Press Ganey survey data during his 15 year leadership.  He started the CARTI IMRT program in 2001.  He initiated forward planning for breast cases in NLR in 2003.  Under his leadership, the NLR center was the first CARTI center to move to a fully electronic medical chart in 2009.  The center began the hypofractionated breast treatments (~3 weeks versus ~6 weeks) in 2009 to reduce patient time and expense.

The NLR facility has state-of-the-art technology with a Varian Truebeam machine and CT simulator.  The facility performs IMRT and IGRT treatments.  CARTI Radiation Oncology in NLR is located on the Baptist Health Medical Center – North Little Rock campus.  Office hours are Mon-Fri 7am – 4pm (closed major holidays).
