CARTI is the state’s largest not-for-profit, private cancer care provider, offering medical, surgical and radiation oncology and diagnostic radiology to more than 20,000 newly diagnosed patients each year.  All of the money raised by the CARTI Auxiliary benefits CARTI’s patient assistance program.

For more than 40 years, the CARTI Auxiliary has been putting on one of the most spectacular fund-raising events in the state. Festival of Trees, a four day festival held at the Statehouse Convention Center, featuring decorated trees and offering some of the most unique special events for children and adults, such as Sugar Plum Ball, Festival of Fashion, Festival After Dark and Tux ‘N Trees, our black-tie event. Each year more than 4,000 people attend these events, and this year we are expecting to top those numbers. Since its inception, Festival of Trees has raised in excess of $6.5 million to support the mission of CARTI and provide direct financial support to the patients it serves. Annually, Festival funds have assisted:

  • in the purchase of patient housing, transportation and pain medication;
  • in providing emotional support programs and professional counseling for patients and family members;
  • in offering outreach programs, including overnight retreats for patients and their caregivers
