CARTI Board Studying Potential Location

CARTI has signed an option to study property located on Riley Road in Little Rock for the new CARTI Cancer Center and is now entering in to an extensive period of discovery. If the CARTI Board of Directors is pleased with the outcome of the property study, the deal is expected to close in mid-December. The estimated 37-acre site is owned by the Alley family and sets adjacent to Woodland Heights, a retirement community.

“As we looked at available real estate, we needed a location that allowed us to house medical, surgical and radiation oncology and diagnostic radiology under one roof,” Jan Burford, President and CEO of CARTI, said. “The Riley Road property has the acreage needed, and the natural surroundings are just beautiful. Plus, it will allow those traveling in from out-of-town to easily find us. This property, which is visible from the interstate, is two simple turns off of I-630 and conveniently located to all of the hospitals. Our Board likes the site and will know more by mid-December after the period of discovery.”

CARTI purchased Little Rock Hematology Oncology in late 2011. CARTI is an independent, nonprofit network of cancer care facilities with facilities located throughout Arkansas with centers located in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Conway, Mountain Home and Searcy.
