Ray of Hope Programs
The CARTI “Ray Of Hope“ Network provides a broad scope of assistance to meet the many and diverse needs of those fighting cancer, as well as helping the family members who support them. Ray of Hope programs include:

Patient Assistance Programs
Patients diagnosed with cancer face psychosocial problems ranging from transportation needs to family concerns. CARTI's resource coordinators provide specialized services designed to facilitate treatment and improve quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

Areas of assistance for those who qualify include housing, transportation and financial, emotional and nutritional counseling. When you begin your treatment, you will meet with a Resource Coordinator to discuss your needs.

In addition, CARTI offers a variety of publications and resources on cancer, treatment and prevention.

Massage Therapy
At CARTI, we work hard to help reduce the stress and tension that patients can sometimes experience during, before and after treatment. Thanks to a grant from the CARTI Foundation, patients are referred to a local licenses massage therapist who is specially trained in oncology to help relieve the fatigue often associated with cancer treatments. Visit with your Resource Coordinator about how to schedule your massage therapy appointment.

Survivor Retreats
CARTI offers several cancer survivor retreats for those who are undergoing radiation therapy. The retreats, located on Petit Jean Mountain, are free, but space is limited. Visit with your CARTI Resource Coordinator about registering for an upcoming retreat. All retreats are funded by the CARTI Auxiliary Festival of Trees.

CancerAnswers
A public education program, CancerAnswers® is held each spring and fall throughout Arkansas to offer patients and their caregivers coping skills in dealing with their illness. There is no charge for attendance but space is limited. Funding is provided by the CARTI Auxiliary Festival of Trees. For a complete schedule, click here.

CARTI Kids Program
The CARTI Kids Program provides a support system for pediatric cancer patients who have received radiation therapy at CARTI. The program runs through the age of 18 and includes current and former patients. Summer trips, college scholarships, a holiday party and many other opportunities are available for CARTI Kids. Funding for CARTI Kids activities is provided by proceeds from the CARTI Kids Golf Classic, All That Jazz and other gifts from the community.

Just A Kid With Cancer
A grant from the CARTI Foundation funded this award-winning resource for and about children with cancer. If you know of a pediatric cancer patient whose classmates and friends would like to learn more about their friends’ struggles with cancer, contact mmachen@carti.com or call 1-800-482-8561, ext. 614.
